Dear Olive Oil Friend,
The temperatures are already high, perfect summer weather for relaxed barbecue evenings with delicious antipasti. No doubt you have picked up your Just Olives organic olive oil several times over the last few days. Therefore, it's high time for an update on how our olives are doing for the 2025 harvest!
The well known passion and dedication of our farmers is already bearing very good fruit. The olives are hanging abundantly and healthy on the picturesque olive trees in the sunny hills of Tuscany around Lamporecchio. Of course, this is also due to the fact that the weather has been very favourable this year. We are keeping our fingers crossed that this will continue in the coming months and that the green olives will ripen into another fantastic organic olive oil in 2025.
We want to support our farmers again this year and provide you with the best organic olive oil! That's why we will be opening our online shop again in a week's time on Saturday 5th July 2025.

Reminder: What you should look out for when buying olive oil
Although our online shop reopens in a week's time, the olives will only be harvested in autumn and the fresh organic olive oil is expected to arrive at your home in early December. In case anyone has already used up their year's supply for delicious pesto and antipasti as has already happened to us ;-), then check out our guide below about the most important aspects of real extra virgin olive oil:
Every extra virgin olive oil should smell and taste fruity-fresh, and have a certain bitterness as well as a warming spiciness in the finish.
These three characteristics are due to the healthy ingredients of olive oil, such as polyphenols. The fruitier and fresher, the more bitter, and the spicier your olive oil is, the better the quality. Exactly these three attributes are also responsible for why your organic olive oil from Just Olives tastes so delicious! Maybe you have never found olive oil like this in the supermarket, however if at all, then most likely in an organic shop or speciality shop.
